AI Architecture - for hormone, menopause, and regenerative practices

Your website is for the patients who already found you.

This is for the ones who haven’t. You may think you don’t need another website - and you’re right. This isn’t one.

Menopause Specialist Asheville, an Authority Property
An Authority Property built for one condition in one market - menopausespecialistasheville.com. Eight more further down.
An AI assistant, answering a patient

Who are the best providers for bioidentical hormone therapy near your city?

Enter your market above and watch the shape of the answer your prospective patients are already getting.

The three names above are invented, and the layout is an illustration of the format rather than live output. The question is not invented - it is close to what people actually type. Run it yourself in a logged-out chat, three times, and compare.

What changed, and how fast it changed

Patients used to research a condition by opening ten tabs, reading until something felt trustworthy, and choosing a name from a list. That is not how it works now, and the shift happened inside about eighteen months.

45%1

of U.S. consumers used an AI tool for a local business recommendation in the past year - up from 6% the year before.

3rd1

AI is now the third most-used source of local recommendations, behind only Google and Facebook. It passed Yelp this year.

Yext, 2026

Here is what it looks like in practice. A woman of 47 is exhausted, gaining weight she can’t shift, sleeping badly. She doesn’t search for a menopause doctor. She opens a chatbot and describes her symptoms. She asks what is happening to her body. She asks whether hormone therapy is safe and what the WHI study actually found. Three quarters of an hour later, educated and reassured, she asks one more question: who near me does this?

By the time she asks it, the decision to seek treatment is already made. The only thing still open is the name - and whoever gets named receives a patient who arrives pre-educated, pre-sold, and predisposed to trust them. Everyone else in that market is not ranked tenth. They are absent from the conversation entirely.

And the old route is narrowing at the same time. When Google shows an AI summary, people click a result on 8% of visits instead of 15%, and they click a link inside the summary 1% of the time.5 The traffic did not go to a competitor. It stopped being traffic.

Why your website can’t carry this on its own

This is the part most agencies won’t tell you, because it complicates the sale.

When an AI engine answers a question about a specific business, most of what it cites comes from somewhere other than that business’s own site. Lantern analysed 200 million citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude and found 91% of brand-related citations came from off-site sources.6 Omniscient Digital’s study of 23,000 citations put owned content at roughly a quarter, even on branded queries.7

The reason is not technical. It is that these models were trained on how humans weigh evidence, and a business describing itself is the least reliable witness available. Your homepage saying you are the leading provider is not evidence. It is a claim with an obvious motive attached.

So if someone offers to fix your AI visibility by rewriting your website, they are working on the smallest quarter of the problem. And if they tell you schema markup is what makes AI cite you, know that Ahrefs tested that in 2026 across 1,885 pages and measured no change. Schema earns its place for other reasons. It is not the mechanism here.

What actually moves it: material about you that exists somewhere you don’t own, is attributed to you by name, makes specific and checkable claims, and is consistent with everything else out there about you. That is a structural problem, and it needs a structure.

What an Authority Property is

A structured, evidence-cited property built for one condition in one market, engineered to be read, trusted, and cited by AI engines. It is not a website. Your website is for patients who already found you. This is for the ones who haven’t.

It is deliberately narrow. A practice site has to serve every service line, every existing patient, every staff bio and every insurance question at once, which means it says a little about a lot. An Authority Property says a great deal about one thing - which is the shape of the question a patient actually asks.

Structure

Built around the questions, not your services

The architecture follows what patients ask in the order they ask it - what is happening to me, is it treatable, is treatment safe, what does it cost, who does this near me. Each answer is self-contained, so an engine can lift one without needing the rest of the site.

Evidence

Claims with citations attached

Every clinical claim carries its source, and every source is real and checkable. This is the single biggest difference between this and the content most practices publish, and it is the thing that makes a page usable as a citation rather than as marketing.

Attribution

Your name, your credentials, your voice

Authored content attributed to a named, credentialed clinician, with a consistent professional identity across every property and profile. Consistency is what lets an engine treat scattered mentions as one entity - you.

Locality

One market, stated plainly

The geography is explicit everywhere it needs to be, because “near me” is the operative half of the question. One provider holds a given condition-and-market pairing at a time.

Freshness

It grows every month

New material publishes on a schedule. Citation studies consistently find heavy recency bias - the large majority of cited pages were updated recently. A property that sits still decays whether or not anything about it is wrong.

Capture

A path for the ones who arrive

An assessment or enquiry path, with every submission stored on your own server before any email is attempted - so a mail outage never quietly loses a patient, which is a failure mode more common than most practices realise.

The architecture around it

If the property were all there was, the citation research above would be an argument against buying one. It isn’t all there is. The property is the anchor; these are the parts that live where you don’t own the ground, which is where the citations actually come from.

Off-site

Published articles under your byline

A professional interview becomes a written article in your voice, published on a third-party publication with a real audience. Independent, attributed, and structurally the strongest asset in the whole system.

Off-site

An independent directory profile

A structured provider profile on a national directory, separate from anything you control, stating who you are, what you treat, and where. Directories are disproportionately represented in AI answers about local providers.

Assets

Evidence assets you can actually use

From each research report: patient talking points, the questions patients actually ask with answers, video scripts, patient handouts, and email content. Built for the practice, not just for the algorithm.

Surface

A social surface that stays current

Branded posts drawn from your published material, so the signal is consistent across every place someone - or something - might check you.

Measure

A baseline, then the same measurement again

Where you appear today across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI: brand mention rate, share of voice, average citation position, and the competitors being named instead of you. Taken before we start, and taken again after.

Built, live, and running

Every one of these is a real property serving a real practice. Click through and read them - the depth is the point, and it is difficult to fake.

How it actually goes

Day 1

We measure where you stand now - four engines, dozens of prompts for your condition and market, competitors named. You get this whether or not you proceed, and it is the number everything later gets compared against.

Days 2–4

A short intake: your bio, credentials, photographs, what you treat, how you treat it, and the claims you are and are not comfortable making. That last part matters more than practices expect.

Week 2

The property goes live. You review before anything publishes.

Week 3

The interview. About twenty-five minutes on a call - roughly the time you would spend explaining the topic properly to a patient if you were not rushed. It becomes the first article in your voice, published under your byline and linked back to you.

Month 2 onward

New material publishes monthly. Social runs from it. You get a one-page report of what went out.

Month 3

The same measurement as day one, run again. This is where you find out whether it is working, in numbers, against named competitors.

Fair questions

Isn’t this just SEO with a new name?

No, and the difference is measurable. SEO optimises for position in a list of links a person then chooses from. This optimises for being the name an engine produces when there is no list - when the answer is two or three practices and everyone else is absent.

The work overlaps in places. Structured, well-written, locally specific content helps in both worlds, and we build for both. But the target is different, the measurement is different, and the off-site work is far more important here than it ever was for rankings.

Do you guarantee I’ll get recommended?

No. Nobody can, and anyone who does is either misunderstanding how these systems work or counting on you not to check. These models are non-deterministic - the same question asked twice can return different names.

What we do commit to is measurement. You will know exactly where you stand before we start, and exactly where you stand afterwards, using the same prompts and the same engines both times. If it isn’t moving, you’ll see that too.

Do I own the property?

The domain and platform stay with Platinum Media Solutions, which is what makes the price possible - building this outright is a $7,500 project plus a permanent content obligation. Your photographs, your name, your credentials and your likeness are yours, and they come down within seven days of cancellation.

If owning it outright matters to you, say so on the call. It is a different arrangement at a different price, and it is available.

I already have a good website. Why would I add this?

Because they do different jobs. Your website converts people who already know your name - referrals, returning patients, anyone who Googled you specifically. It should be good, and if it isn’t we’ll say so.

This is aimed at the person who does not know your name yet and is describing their symptoms to a chatbot. Those are two different audiences arriving by two different routes, and a site built for the first is structurally a poor fit for the second.

Why is Menopause Association membership required?

Because two structural pieces of the system live there: your provider profile on an independent directory, and your publishing rights on a third-party publication. Those are the off-site, non-self-authored assets that the citation research says carry the weight. Without them you are buying the weakest part of the architecture on its own.

It is $39 a month or $390 a year, and an annual membership is credited in full against the build fee - so on the annual path it is effectively free.

How long before anything happens?

The property is live in about two weeks. Visibility in AI answers is slower and honestly variable - these systems re-crawl and re-weight on their own schedule, and a market with three entrenched competitors takes longer than an empty one. Plan on the first measurable movement around month three, and treat anyone promising faster with suspicion.

The assets, the articles and the patient-facing material are useful from week one regardless.

What if my market is already taken?

Markets are held one provider at a time, and overlap is rare, but checkout cannot check it for us. So the first thing we do after an order is confirm your market is open. If it is not, you choose between the nearest open market and a full refund of everything you have paid, processed the same day.

That is the one guaranteed refund we offer, because we will not keep payment for something we cannot deliver.

Find out where you actually stand

The measurement takes a few days and it is the same whether you buy anything or not. If your market turns out to be wide open, that is worth knowing quickly. If three competitors own it, that is worth knowing even faster.
